I know there's a good explanation of the most recent method for tracking/using channels, but I'm wondering if you could post something that shows example codes for each different method for generating code.
For example, an example if we use the ad wizard, and another if we don't use the wizard...etc, covering EVERY eventuality.
I'm a little unsure whether I have all the tracking working properly.
Also, is there any way to use a tracking channel for any offer accessed from mydomain.tradepub.com versus those at otherdomain.tradepub.com?
There are actually good reasons to have all tracking done with one "method" (ie. channels).
Right now, I have far too many instances of no channels in my reports and I would like to remedy that.
Also, the "old" method of tracking. Does that still work?
There is no way to add a channel code that would be inclusive of every offer on one co-branded site vs. another. But that's why you have different domains for those sites. You can track that in the "report by site." That said, you can add a channel code to your link to a co-branded site and it will show every conversion that was generated by a user who gets to your co-branded site via that link.
At this time there is no way to for you to add a code on your brand-specific thank you pages. That said, I'm not sure what you are looking for with this request. Currently, anyone who reaches the thank you page will be reported on our reports as either subs or rejects.
ch=code can be swapped with ct=catcode, pc=pubcode, qf=qualform, etc. These codes can swap positions within the string and will still render accurate tracking.
Thanks. Re: the thank you page code. I need to eventually track which of the ad creatives I use on my sites actually result in signups, and it's just more convenient to track conversions in my adserver, rather than via different channels for each ad.
Still hoping, eventually, that you guys will provide better statistics that include impressions, clicks, etc, by creative. Impressions/clicks is a HUGE need.
